We've just updated our Facebook page with our latest cover picture courtesy of a GP working in South Wales.
Our new Facebook image was taken by Associate in Training Dr Catrin Lisa Thomas of a row of houses in Llantrisant.
We're updating our Facebook page every Wednesday with an entry from a photographic competition being run by RCGP Wales called “Where I Work” which celebrates the organisation's 60th Anniversary this year.
As part of the contest, the College has asked members to send it images associated with their workplace with the winning entries set to be displayed in the Cymru Wales Room in the RCGP's new HQ in Euston Square, London, when it opens later this year.
WaMH in PC has an interest in the College as we were established by its Welsh branch back in 2003 to act as a special interest working group to promote primary mental health care and improve mental health services across Wales.
We're trying to contact as many entrants as possible to ask for their permission to show-off their photographic skills via Facebook so if you've entered and would like to see your photo on our page then please don't hesitate to get in touch.
All you have to do is email your image, its name and your details to our Project Manager Lesley Hills at lhills@rcgp.org.uk and we'll look into adding it to our page over the coming weeks.
Our annual programme of bursaries offering small grants up to a maximum of £3,000 is now open for applications.
This year we have decided to award bursaries to projects which encourage innovation in the following areas and applications must be received by 31st December 2012:
Applications are open to anyone with a link to Primary Care Mental Health in Wales and those able to demonstrate a clear and justifiable benefit in relation to the aims of a WaMH in PC bursary.
For further information about the application categories, eligibilty, how to apply and any other details please visit our Bursaries page.
This year we have decided to open up the application criteria to specifically include projects aimed at dementia as part of our strategy to support the National Dementia Vision for Wales.
The document provides a long-term vision to ensure Wales can best meet the challenge of an increasing number of people living with dementia across the country with further details in our Dementia section.
If you're interested in finding out more about our bursaries please contact us via email at lhills@rcgp.org.uk or on 029 2050 4516.
